Afghanistan: War Without End

The Louisville Courier-Journal is relieved that Afghanistan seems to be getting some long overdue attention from the administration: “Any list of reasons for Afghans’ despair and renewed attraction to the Taliban must begin with President Bush’s handling of the Afghan mission. There have been too few American troops and too little aid from the onset, but that problem was greatly magnified by the diversion of military personnel and resources to an unnecessary war in Iraq.”
