The No More Victims project of Ruth Group to bring an Iraqi child to the US for medical treatment is off to a great start. 40 volunteers have signed up to help, and we have a working connection with the Iraq Action Group, a group of doctors at UCSF. There is an Iraqi child who may be a possibility for our first attempt, however he is still being evaluated for his treatment and appropriate aftercare. The securing of hospital care is being negotiated, as well. We will have many other tasks once a child is selected and his/her care approved so all the support our community can give is what will make this a reality.. .

Our first kickoff meeting is Saturday, March 8th at 2pm in the town of Ross. If you are interested in attending contact Amy Skewes-Cox (amysc@rtasc.com) (415-454-8666).
