Our plans to bring an Iraqi child to the Bay Area for medical care are underway. We are ready for Mustafa. He is in Iraq with his father, awaiting visas and Cole Miller of No More Victims to bring them to San Francisco. Mustafa has inspired us all to bring forth the generosity necessary to make his medical care possible. We have so many to thank.

Contributions to No More Victims and Mustafa’s medical care

1. $30,000 in cash donations: Please note below names of contributors to this project.
2. $100,000 in services for Mustafa’s surgery and cochlear implant from doctors at UCSF medical center and the Iraq Action Group
3. A place to live at Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco
4. Iraqi volunteers to aid in translation during Mustafa’s speech therapy
5. Speech therapy at the Hearing & Speech Center of Northern California
6. Iraqi volunteers to take care of Mustafa and father during their 4-5 months stay in San Francisco Bay Area.

We hope he will arrive sometime in August and that members of our community in Marin will gather together with the Iraqi community for a welcoming party!

This is a special opportunity for us to connect and make new friends and we want to take full advantage of this opening to widen our circle of concern beyond Marin and San Francisco and make common cause with the Iraqi community. We have invited Iraqis who have expressed interest in contributing to Mustafa’s medical care to join us when he arrives in August.
