Obama Popular in Amador County

In a rural California county, Democrats believe they’ve seen a strong sign of support for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential chances.

When Democrats in decidedly Republican Amador County set up a booth at the Amador County Fair last week, they were stunned when all 300 bumper stickers and another 300 buttons for Obama were snatched up by fairgoers – less than two days into the four-day fair.

This is where Bill Durston is running for Congress. Good news….

Words for Acts

An avidity to punish is always dangerous to liberty. It leads men to stretch, to misinterpret, and to misapply even the best of laws. He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.
