HOUSING NEEDED FOR IRAQI FAMILY

Ruth Group sends you this urgent message regarding Mustafa, the 3 year old child brought from Iraq for medical care. He has received a cochlear implant, and has been attending the San Francisco Hearing and Speech Center for special therapy and classes.

The family has been living at the Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco, but will need to leave by June 30th.

The family received asylum, on April 29th, and now mother and other son can join them in 3-4 months. They need to stay in San Francisco in order that Mustafa can continue therapy and speech classes. The school is in the Mission District.
Please put out the word for an apartment, house to share, or other appropriate living situations for this family. They have limited resources as Ghazwan, the father is just getting his resumes out for possible jobs. He is a PhD in media and public relations from Baghdad University.

It is a difficult time for them now with so many transitions in school, living environments and finding work and with very limited funds. Thank you for what ever you can do.

Best,
Ruth Friend and Amy Skewes-Cox

Words for Acts

An avidity to punish is always dangerous to liberty. It leads men to stretch, to misinterpret, and to misapply even the best of laws. He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.
