- Bob Whitson is a long time resident of Boulder, Colorado where he was the city transportation manager for many years, creating one of the most friendly transit cities in the country. He's a river runner par excellence and has run his raft down the Grand Canyon, Colorado over 18 times. Birding and anti-Bushing are his major obsessions. Oh, Cormac McCarthy and Bob Dylan, too.
