Will Kirkland founded the Ruth Group website as part of his contribution to the Ruth Group and associated friends -- imagining a shared virtual space for news and opinion not easily found in the large commercial media world. Coming out of the US Navy for refusing to give orders, in 1968, he worked for four years at the Institute for the Study of Nonviolence in Palo Alto and then for three years with the United Farmworkers. Currently he does small business computer consulting in the Bay Area, writes, translates and blogs - politics, life and world.
