The Race for 2008: Debateable Assessment

Writing in Denver’s Rocky Mountain News, Mike Littwin (an Obama supporter) added some tough love to his long night: “But, let’s face it, this debate was not about policy. So now we get to the real issue: What was this debate about?

It was about Obama standing up under the fire. One of his aides told me after the debate that this wasn’t a trial by fire. “This,” he said, “was the real fire.”
